Feeling HEALTHY!!! : I have been following the Bright Line Eating principles faithfully since September 25, 2019. (After attempting to do it last May "to a degree", not fully Bright, and with my Stevia and creamer in my coffee - it didn't work so well!!) I am thrilled to say, I started 100% Bright Lines in September, and IT WORKS!!! I am no longer "obese", and now, I am actually 5 lbs away from being "Normal" weight. In every program I have ever done, I have never survived through the Maintenance Phase. But this is so easily planned out, I am certain Maintenance will be accomplished.   • 1.0 out of 5 stars from Kim -- EXACTLY LIKE EVERY OTHER DIET BOOK OUT THERE, DON'T FALL FOR IT : Susan says over and over, "my diet book is different," but it's exactly like every other diet book out there, and in fact, much more strict and MUCH more boring. Honestly, the book is nicely done, with great color pictures and realistic testimonials (no one is super thin, and still on their journey). But every diet book has two things. #1. Their RULES for success, and #2 Meal plans that comply with their rules. This is EXACTLY what is done here. That's why I kept laughing every time I read, "This book is different from all the other diets in the world." Susan claims that because after a while of eating perfectly measured food, the same meals over and over and over, with no snacking ever, your brain will go on auto pilot. You don't have to think anymore. But here are the four RULES. 1. NO SUGAR 2. NO FLOUR 3. NO SNACKS EVER 4. MEASURE OR WEIGH EVERY SINGLE THING YOU EAT FOR YOUR THREE PROPORTIONED MEALS PER DAY. So this is why it's called a boot camp. I don't have problems with this diet book, it's just that she's got to stop saying her book is different, that it's not a diet book. It's not any different (except very strict without much variety at all), and it IS A DIET BOOK. Good luck if you try it out. The best way to lose weight is to stay off sugar and flour and eat a hearty amount of whole fruits and veggies. Simple as that. But once you start weighing everything (yes, even at social events) and having no variety...no thanks. You may say it puts you on autopilot, but if people are too restricted, after a while they go haywire. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2019 )

I personally lost 70 pounds with this plan and kept it off. This cookbook takes the guess work out of meal preparation and offers a broad range of choices for both omnivores and those who choose a plant-based diet. A life long dieter, I can say this program is a Godsend!! Once you discover Bright Line Eating, you will never diet again!! This not a diet, it is a sustainable life style!! Based on science and solid information, I cannot say enough wonderful things about it and the author!! I received my cook books, one for me and one for gifting on the day of publication, having pre ordered several months ago. It is so much more than a cook book. I have read it cover to cover and am so pleased with every aspect. The multitude of recipes are wholesome, simple and creative. Designed to appeal to everyone, in every season, every meal, every palate, this cookbook is so much more than I expected and so worth the build up and the wait!! It is packed not only with healthy, delicious and simple recipes, but also tons of great information about BLE and their incredible community members. It shares real life success stories as well as provides meal plans, even for whole food plant based eaters like myself. I found there to be a ton of plant based recipes, and most of the ones that were not - I could easily adapt. Get this book now, and grab Susan's 1st book while you're at it - it might just click with you like it did me. Last night I made the Miso Tahini dressing for my huge veggie bowl. INCREDIBLE and easy! I particularly love the sweet potato breakfast. I am surprised at how not hungry I feel as I am dropping pounds! Even when I occasionally do feel hungry, it is not an unpleasant feeling. But actually, I've come to trust that she is someone with an absolute passion to help free people form addictive eating. This is spurred on in particular by her now suffering with addiction to food but also supported with good factual evidence from someone with a PHD in in Brain and Cognitive Sciences.   • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Mystic -- The best of food addiction programs without the feeling broken attitude : I've been in 12 step for addiction programs for 10 years and lost all my weight, then moved away where I can only access online meetings. This Brightline Eating is an answer to a prayer. I get the best food program that helped me lose 125 pounds and keep it off while not making me feel as if I'm a sick person. The science is really good and I feel normal and healthy. I had gained back 35 pounds but now I'm losing it rapidly without going to meetings I don't have access to. She’s been very generous with all the info, tips and tricks. Some great recipe ideas to play with. Though the 2 soups I’ve cooked so far were awful, especially the tomato soup. I almost vomited. It is a lifetime commitment to eating whole and healthy food and ridding myself of cravings, excess weight, food thoughts, decisions around meals ... it represents freedom. I've only been 100 days so far and know now why no other programme was sustainable. Well worth a look on YouTube for videos on the science of Bright Line Eating. Revealing and profoundly life-changing. I've lost over a stone already and it doesn't feel as if I'm dieting (it did at first). It's just part of my daily routine and I'm hooked. It explains the way of eating and relating to food that results in successful weight loss and long term maintenance, which is where other weight loss programs fail. I have tried many diets, lost weight on most of them but the old eating habits returned, along with all the weight and more. This is a scientifically credible, healthy and well put together program for lifelong weight management. Whatever your age, sex or ethnicity this works .
